Cookie policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Lumo Energy Limited ("we", "our", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website www.lumoenergy.co.uk.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They help us make the website work properly, improve your experience, and provide information about how the site is used.
Types of cookies we use
- Necessary – Required for the site to work, including remembering your analytics preference, staff browser exclusion and the audience page you last chose. These are always on.
- Analytics – Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, helps us understand visits, traffic sources, pages and website actions. It loads automatically on lumoenergy.co.uk and www.lumoenergy.co.uk unless this browser has opted out or is excluded from staff tracking. Google Analytics uses browser and session identifiers; it is not anonymous aggregate-only counting.
Your choice
Ordinary visitors receive automatic analytics. Any previously saved explicit rejection is honoured, including after its original expiry, without asking again. A voluntary opt-out remains in this browser until you resume analytics or clear site data.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are placed by third-party services we use, such as our analytics provider or embedded content. Videos on our site only load from YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode when you choose to play them.
Managing cookies
Use Analytics settings below to opt out free of charge or resume analytics. Opting out stops subsequent website analytics, removes accessible tracking cookies and reloads this page if Google Tag Manager is already running. It does not undo data already sent or remove cookies on other services' domains. Your preference applies only to this browser and device; repeat it on other browsers and devices. Clearing site data resets it to automatic analytics. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of our website.

Staff browser exclusion
Staff can use staff tracking settings to exclude this browser before any website analytics loads. That page never tracks visits. Staff exclusion overrides the analytics preference and keeps it intact; resuming staff tracking follows that preference. The exclusion applies only to this browser and device and resets if site data is cleared. It is not an account or security setting.
